Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum / Ministry of Public Works (formerly the Department of Public Works, commonly called the Department of Public Works), was named "Department of Housing and Regional Development" (1999-2000) and "The Ministry of Settlement and Regional Infrastructure" (2000-2004), is the ministry in charge of the Government of Indonesia affairs of public works. The term "Public Works" is a translation of the Dutch term "Openbare Werken" who in the days of the Dutch East Indies called "Waterstaat swerken". In the Government Center neighborhood fostered by Dep.Van Verkeer & Waterstaat (Dep.V & W), which previously consisted of 2 Dept.Van Guovernements Bedri jven and Dept.Van Burgewrlijke Openbare Werken.

Duties and Functions of the Ministry of Public Works
Duties:
In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 08/PRT/M/2010 about ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURES FOR THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS, Ministry of Public Works has tasks: conducting business in the field of public works in the government to assist the President in running the state government.

Function:

1. Formulation, determination and implementation of policy in the field of public works.
2. Asset management / wealth of the country is the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Works.
3. Supervision over the execution of tasks in the Ministry of Public Works.
4. Implementation of technical guidance and supervision over the conduct of the affairs in the Ministry of Public Works.
5. Implementation of technical activities at the national scale.

PAMSIMAS
PAMSIMAS program is one of the real action programs and government (central and local) with the support of the World Bank, to improve drinking water supply, sanitation, and improve public health, especially in reducing diarrheal diseases and other diseases that are transmitted through water and the environment.

1. Fasilitator Masyarakat Bidang Penyediaan Air Minum dan Sanitasi (FM-WSS)
Qualifications:

• Graduate Diploma 3 (D3), preferably S1 environmental engineering / civil / architecture and a maximum age of 35 yrs
• Preferably with experience in similar community development programs
• Able to operate MS Word and the Internet
• Having initiative, independent and able to work independently
• Willing to be placed in District of Beneficiaries PAMSIMAS II, East Java

2. Fasilitator Bidang Pemberdayaan (FM-CD)
Qualifications:

• Minimum of diploma 3 (D3), preferably undergraduate majors S1 all aged up to 35 yrs
• Preferably with experience in community development similar proram
• Can bersar from outside the district / city in which the assignment
• Able to operate MS Word and the Internet
• Having initiative, independent and able to work independently and team
• Willing to be placed in the District of Beneficiaries PAMSIMAS II, East Java
